Mark your calendar for the 3rd Saturday in June for the annual Wild Ride in the picturesque Shawnee Forest. This premier Southern Ohio cycling event offers 6 paved road routes: The Cottontail – 9 miles/400 feet elevation, The Bear Cub – 16.5 miles/1000 feet elevation, The Bobcat – 30 miles/1900 feet elevation, The White tail – 40 miles, The Rattlesnake – 60 miles/3100 feet elevation), and The Tick – 101 miles/6800 feet elevation and 2 gravel routes: The Hawk – 34 miles/3460 feet elevation and The Storm – 60 miles/5800 feet elevation). Cyclists will roll through the heart of Ohio’s largest and hilliest state forest. Aid stations are provided along designated courses. Registration opens at the end of December.
